My name is Michael Riordan. “How would you live your life if you knew you would not fail.” That is my mindset. When I did fail, it provided the growth necessary to get better at what I do. “Live in the solution, not the problem” That is my mantra. I grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta. My parents instilled a blend of confidence and curiosity of improvement that made me who I am. My wife Martha and I have been married for 14 years, we have two grown children (Lisa and Jimmy), two Corgi’s (Chubbs and Elsie) and a cat (Whiskey). After a successful career at AT&T identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions, the last twenty at headquarters, it was time for my next challenge: Real Estate. I have spent the better part of the last 6 years helping to build, manage and Broker a real estate group with a culture of success, honesty and positive mindset. Each year we experienced record growth and industry leading results. Along with Martha and a host of excellent realtors in my group, we found our passion in successfully finding the best solution for our client’s real estate needs and providing excellent customer service. The youngest of seven children, I grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut, took up competitive diving, and earned an athletic scholarship to Virginia Tech University. After graduating from Tech, I moved with my family to Florida, New York and then finally, thankfully, to Knoxville in 2000. I love the climate and most of all, the people of Knoxville. My experience includes sales and management jobs with Brookstone, TGI Fridays, The Walt Disney Company and State Farm Insurance, and most recently, Cumulus Media, for almost 10 years. For the last 9+ years I have worked as a high-level real estate agent and have always enjoyed working closely with people to build a trusting relationship and finding ways to be helpful in meeting their needs. I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Research Hospital, The Mission of Hope, Knox Area Rescue Ministries and Reach Them to Teach Them. I also enjoy networking with several local area chambers and business groups. We opened MR10 Realty in 2021 created with a simple mission: to offer top-tier real estate services to our local community and surrounding areas. Our team prides itself on delivering excellent communication, hard work, and expert guidance to help our clients achieve their real estate goals. I have two grown children; My son, Jimmy and his wife, Kelsey live in Philadelphia, PA and my daughter, Lisa is here in Knoxville. I am especially lucky to other family in the Knoxville area, including my sister and brother-in-law in law, Alison (from Andy and Alison in the mornings on WIVK) and Miles Mencer. My father-in-law also relocated to Knoxville and I am very fortunate to have them all nearby.

Growing up in Georgia, my father was extremely active & successful in the real estate market. Everything I learned from him became the foundation for my passion for real estate. I moved to Knoxville in 2001 to attend the University of Tennessee & instantly fell in love with everything about this city! My husband & I have 2 beautiful children and love calling Knoxville home. I have an extensive background in business, but my personal experiences are what lead me to a career in real estate.
